Five Element Acupuncture in Quinton & Moseley, Birmingham
Five Element Acupuncture is a traditional system of Chinese medicine that treats the whole person — body, mind, and spirit — by working with the five natural elements:
Wood • Fire • Earth • Metal • Water
Each element represents a different aspect of our physical and emotional health. In Five Element theory, every person has one core constitutional element, and when that element is out of balance, it can cause symptoms such as pain, fatigue, stress, anxiety, or emotional difficulty.
At Wild Acupuncture in Quinton and Moseley, Birmingham, Janine works to restore harmony to your unique constitution, supporting your body’s natural ability to heal.
🌀 How Our Five Element Acupuncture Treatments Work
1. Diagnosis
Your first session includes a detailed consultation covering your symptoms, health history, emotional wellbeing, and lifestyle.
Janine uses traditional diagnostic tools such as:
-
Pulse and tongue diagnosis
-
Observation of colour, sound, and scent (unique to Five Element acupuncture)
-
The aim is to identify which element is out of balance and create a treatment plan tailored to you.
2. Treatment
Gentle, ultra-fine, sterile needles are placed at specific acupuncture points to restore balance.
Sometimes moxa (a warming herbal therapy) is used to nourish and strengthen energy.
Sessions are calm and supportive, often using just a few carefully chosen points.
3. What to Expect
-
Initial consultation + treatment: 60–75 minutes
-
Follow-up sessions: around 45–60 minutes
-
Many people feel relaxed, grounded, or emotionally lighter after treatment
-
You may notice changes in sleep, energy levels, mood, or resilience over time
